Berlin

Welcome to Berlin, Connecticut, originally known by the Mattabasset Indians as PAGONCHAWNISCHAGE (the Great White Oak Place). In Berlin, you will find well over 1,000 acres of open space dedicated to parks, including Timberlin Park, “The Yankee Peddler,” and many businesses, such as COMCAST, Eversource, Assa Abloy and Home Depot.

Known for its excellent school system, Berlin houses three public elementary schools, one middle school, one high school and many private schools. As for extracurricular activities, Berlin offers theaters, a golf course in Timberlin Park, a shopping center and libraries. Berlin also offers a place for members of religious denominations with its mix of modern and colonial structures. To top it off, Berlin offers the Berlin Fair held on their fairgrounds every Fall as well as access to trains heading in and out of New York and Springfield. In conclusion, Berlin is a wonderfully vibrant town filled with culture and a sense of home.
